Our principal stylist Zoe Mack joined us from a city centre salon. Tired of the rush of town she relishes the slower pace of our suburban salon and the opportunity to give more time and attention to the needs of her clients.

With extensive experience of some twenty plus years in the business Zoe trained initially in London. Winning many competitions, she quickly progressed into the world of fashion and styled for Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen at Paris Fashion Week. She has styled for front covers of Vogue and Harpers and Queen magazines and worked for the BBC as a stylist on Pride and Predujice.

Zoe loves meeting people and loves the community feel of our new salon. She relishes a challenge and is the first to admit she is always learning.

The building that is The Hair Room has an interesting past. Derelict for some 15 years the dilapidated building was bought as a refurbishment and investment project by Chris Hunter Builders from West Bridgford in 2008.

Prior to this the shop had been a general store and used as a film set in the film "This Is England." When the builders moved in they found the film set still intact - they shot the scenes locked the doors and left !

Now fully refurbished the building has given the locality a great lift - no longer a place for young people to linger and get into mischief - now a place for some highlights or extensions !
